Redmond Senior and Community Center Stakeholder Group
The Stakeholder Group was initially formed in 2017 to discuss potential recommendations based on community conversations and determine how to move forward. Since 2017, the Stakeholder Group has continued to provide recommendations to the Redmond City Council on:
- Project timeline
- Center amenities to prioritize
- Locations for the new Center
- Potential group partnerships
- Project costs
In March 2020, the final recommendation from the Stakeholder Group was to construct a 40,000 square foot Community Center with designated program space for seniors on the site of the old Redmond Senior Center. This new facility will be referred to as the Redmond Senior and Community Center. See the March 2020 Stakeholder Group Summary Report for more information on their recommendation.
In 2021, the Stakeholder Group will continue to provide input on the Center design and amenities to City staff as the design process moves forward. Based on community and Stakeholder Group input, City staff will return to the Redmond City Council with schematic designs and cost estimates in mid-2021.
